Welcome

Welcome to Anstey Junior School

Everyone at Anstey Junior School is very proud of our school. We are a fully inclusive school where we believe in meeting the needs of all of the children, whether that involves challenging a child because they have shown advanced skills in a particular area or supporting a child because they are finding an area of learning difficult. We are ambitious for all of the children at the school and this is reflected in our vision, which uses the phrase ‘Aim High, No Limits’. Everyone at the school works hard to ensure that all children have the skills needed to read, write, calculate with numbers and use current technology, as these are seen as the core skills needed to further the journey through education to become adults who can function well in an ever changing world. Our vision statement reflects this 'To inspire all at the school to be adaptable, healthy and inquisitive learners and nurture their development in order to succeed in a rapidly changing world.' We want children to love learning and know about the world, its people, history and traditions.

We want them to embrace the future by being familiar with new technology and able to take on new challenges confidently and positively. Our caring, committed and hardworking staff are dedicated to developing the knowledge, skills and understanding to enable children to enjoy learning and build good foundations for a successful future. We want the children to understand that they are a part of communities: their school, local, national and global.

We hope this website enables you to get a glimpse of the amazing life at Anstey Junior School. The school really is alive with excitement and enthusiastic learners, but ‘seeing is believing’ so please do come along and visit; the children and staff love welcoming visitors and showing them how fantastic our school is. There is a great atmosphere of resilience and enthusiasm for learning everyday, so any day is a good day for a visit.
