At Anstey, we aim to provide children with the ability to successfully navigate the ever-changing technological world. Our children leave Anstey with an understanding of programming and computational thinking. We use Scratch as a programme to embed understanding of algorithms, coding and logical thinking. We also support digital literacy skills through a range of resources to ensure children are able to use these in different scenarios. Our pupils are empowered to become more resilient, knowledgeable and effective problem solvers and we provide opportunities for children to be creative in order to find a solution.
We ensure children understand and are able to use the internet safely which we believe it greatly important with children being exposed to this earlier in their lives. Children should be able to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly and be able to identify inappropriate behaviour, how to report this to a trusted adult and how they can protect themselves online.
